CoParent Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

CoParent has no accounts and no company server. Your family's calendar, expenses, receipts, and messages sync directly between your two devices through Apple's iCloud, using a private CKShare invite that only the co-parent you invite can ever open.

What we collect

Nothing. Everything you log — calendar events, expenses, receipt photos, messages — is stored in the iCloud private database of whichever parent started the family, shared only with the specific co-parent who accepted that family's invite link. CoParent has no company server, no accounts, and no analytics or advertising trackers.

Who can see your family's data

Only the two parents in a family. The parent who creates a family sends a private, one-time invite link; only the device that opens that exact link ever gains access. Treat that link like a house key — anyone who opens it can read and write your family's shared data.

Push notifications

Swap-request, expense, and message alerts are delivered through Apple's own push notification service, triggered by a CloudKit subscription. We don't operate a push server and never see a notification's content.

Purchases

CoParent Pro purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. CoParent never sees your payment details.

Data deletion

Deleting the app does not delete your family's iCloud data on its own, since it lives in iCloud rather than on the device. From Settings inside the app, the parent who created the family can tap Delete Family to permanently remove the calendar, expenses, and messages for both parents; a parent who joined a family can tap Leave Family to remove CoParent's access from that device, without affecting the other parent's copy. Either action can also be done outside the app, or reported to us, via Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → CoParent → Delete Data on the family-creator's device.

Changes

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page.
