Essay Coach gives rubric-based feedback on essay drafts you paste in. It has no account, no backend server, no analytics and no advertising, and it makes no network connections.
Nothing. Your drafts, revisions, feedback and settings are stored only on your device. We never receive them.
When you ask for feedback, your draft is analysed on your device by Apple's on-device Foundation Models, part of Apple Intelligence. Your essay is not sent to us or to any third party by Essay Coach. AI feedback can contain mistakes and is not a grade. Essay Coach is designed to coach and never rewrites your text.
The Report button marks the feedback as reported on your device. Nothing is sent unless you choose to email a report, in which case your email app opens with the AI's feedback text (not your essay) for you to review and send.
Delete drafts inside the app, or delete the app to remove all of its data from your device.
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page.
