ScamCheck helps you check whether a text, email, or screenshot you received looks like a scam. There's no ScamCheck account.
The text you paste, or the text extracted from a screenshot you pick, is sent to our server so it can be analyzed and a verdict returned. It is not stored — it exists only for the duration of that one request. Screenshots you pick are processed for text entirely on your device (Apple's on-device text recognition) and never leave your device as an image.
If you choose to flag a result to warn other users, only the one-sentence summary is stored — never the original pasted message — and it isn't linked to you or your device in any way. This is entirely optional.
ScamCheck Pro purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. ScamCheck never sees your payment details.
Since pasted text isn't stored after analysis, there's nothing tied to you to delete. If you submitted a community flag and want it removed, email us with the flagged text and roughly when you sent it.
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page.
