You Free? helps a friend group turn "I'm free tonight" into a plan. This policy covers what data the app touches and where it goes.
Your display name, the groups you create or join, broadcasts, proposed times/places, votes, and recurring schedules are stored in Apple's CloudKit — Apple's private, per-user cloud database tied to your iCloud account. Openhand Studio has no servers of its own and cannot see this data; it moves only between your devices and the devices of people you've invited into the same group, via Apple's infrastructure.
When you broadcast, propose a time, or vote, your display name and that content become visible to everyone you've invited into that group (via CloudKit sharing). Nothing is visible outside a group you're a member of.
If you enable a recurring schedule, You Free? schedules a local reminder notification on your device for that day/time. This is handled entirely by iOS on-device — no data leaves your phone for this feature.
If you tap "Add to Calendar," the app asks iOS for calendar access and, with your permission, adds a single event to your device's calendar. You Free? never reads your existing calendar.
The optional subscription is handled entirely by Apple via StoreKit. Openhand Studio never receives your payment details.
You Free? does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page.
