You can pick it yourself — 90 days, 1 year, 2 years, or a custom length. On the paid plan, Covered also checks the merchant name against a small built-in table of common manufacturer and retailer defaults and suggests a length automatically. It's always editable afterward.

It uses Apple's iCloud sharing to invite family members you choose. Once accepted, receipts you add sync to everyone in the share — the same as sharing an album in Photos.
Free stores up to 15 receipts with manual entry and manual reminders. The paid plan removes the receipt limit and adds automatic OCR extraction, automatic warranty-length detection, and PDF export for insurance claims.
Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device.
