On the Log tab, tap the ··· button next to the + button — that opens "Scan Barcode" and "Log from Photo". Both are part of Plateful Pro.
It's an AI estimate based on what's visible in the photo — a helpful starting point, not a precise measurement. You can edit every field before saving if the estimate looks off.
Packaged-food search pulls from Open Food Facts, a public community database. If a product isn't listed there, it won't show up in Plateful either — try the barcode instead, or log it manually from the closest match in the food list.
Tap any locked feature to see the paywall, or go to the Goals tab and look for the upgrade prompt. Plateful Pro includes barcode scanning, photo meal logging, trends, insights, meal planning, and Family Sharing.

Email us with your device model and iOS version if it's a bug — that's usually all we need to reproduce it.
