Open iOS Settings → Yearroll → Photos and choose Full Access (or Limited Access with some photos selected), then return to the app.
If you chose Limited Access, Yearroll counts only the photos you shared. Tap "Choose more photos" on the home screen or change it in iOS Settings. Items without a date are skipped.
Years appear only if your library has photos or videos from that year. Cards that need data you don't have (for example, places when no photo has a location) show zero.
Backgrounds come from photos stored on your device. Photos kept only in iCloud are not downloaded, so a coloured background is used instead.
Everything is calculated on your device. Yearroll has no account and no server, and it makes no network connections.
