Sleep Debt Negotiator doesn't have an account system or analytics. Every sleep entry, target, and setting lives on your device.
Nothing on a company server — there isn't one. Sleep entries, your nightly target, and your settings are stored only in the app's local database on your device.
If you turn on "Import from Apple Health," Sleep Debt Negotiator reads your sleep-analysis data to calculate your debt automatically. This access is read-only — the app never writes to Health — and the data it reads is used only to compute your debt and bedtime on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere.
Sleep Debt Negotiator Pro's calendar-aware bedtime reads tomorrow's first calendar event, read-only, to negotiate a bedtime. This is used only to compute that bedtime on your device and is never uploaded anywhere.
Partner Mode is off by default. If you turn it on and enter a household code, the app publishes your negotiated bedtime — and only that, nothing else about your sleep history — to Apple's iCloud (CloudKit), keyed by that code, so whoever enters the same code can see it. Anyone who knows or guesses your household code could read or overwrite that one record, so don't reuse a code you use for anything sensitive elsewhere. Turning Partner Mode off stops publishing new bedtimes, though the last-published record remains in iCloud until it's overwritten.
Wind-down reminders and the adaptive alarm are local notifications scheduled on your device. Sleep Debt Negotiator has no push server and never sees a notification's content.
Sleep Debt Negotiator Pro purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Sleep Debt Negotiator never sees your payment details.
Delete the app and every sleep entry, target, and setting is gone from your device — there's no copy anywhere else, except a Partner Mode household-code record in iCloud if you turned that on (overwrite it with a new code, or contact us, to remove it).
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page.
