Yearroll turns your photo library into a yearly recap. It has no account, no backend server, no analytics and no advertising, and it makes no network connections.
Nothing. Yearroll never receives your photos, your statistics or anything else.
With your permission, Yearroll reads the creation dates, media types (photo, video, screenshot, Live Photo), favourite flags and location coordinates of the items in your photo library, entirely on your device, to count things like your busiest month and longest streak. A few of your own photos are loaded from your device to use as card backgrounds. Photos stored only in iCloud are not downloaded. Yearroll does not modify, copy, upload or keep your photos or this information; the statistics are recalculated each time and are not saved.
Location coordinates are used only to count how many distinct areas (about 25 km apart) you took photos in. Yearroll does not look up place names, does not use maps and never sends coordinates anywhere.
If you choose to share only some photos, Yearroll counts only those. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings.
When you share a card, Yearroll creates an image on your device and hands it to the iOS share sheet. What happens next depends on the app you choose.
Yearroll stores nothing about you. Delete the app and there is nothing left. You can revoke photo access any time in iOS Settings.
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page.
