Recording won't start

Allow Microphone access in iOS Settings → Lecturely. Recording also stops if a phone call or another app takes the microphone; tap Resume to continue.

My transcript is empty or says speech recognition isn't available

Allow Speech Recognition in iOS Settings → Lecturely, then open the lecture and tap Retry. Lecturely only uses on-device recognition, so your language must be installed for dictation on your iPhone (Settings → General → Keyboard → Dictation).

Why don't I see a summary, key points or quiz questions?

These need Apple Intelligence, which is available on supported iPhones once you turn it on in Settings. On other devices Lecturely still records and transcribes. If the model is still downloading, try again later.

Why can't I record any more?

The free plan holds 5 recordings of up to 30 minutes each. Swipe a recording left in the library to delete it and make room.

The AI got something wrong

AI can make mistakes. Check the transcript, and use "Report a problem with this AI content" on the summary or Ask screen, or email us.

Where is my data stored?

Only on your device. Lecturely has no account and no server, so deleting the app deletes your recordings.
