Suggestions need an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or later) on iOS 26 or newer, with Apple Intelligence turned on in iOS Settings. If the model is still downloading, try again later. Without it you can still build rubrics, score work by hand, write comments and export everything.
Open the Rubrics tab and start from a template, type one in, or import one: scan it, pick a photo or screenshot, import a PDF, or paste the text. Markwise reads it into a table, and you must check every row and confirm it before it can be used. Scanned or AI-read rubrics can contain mistakes.
No. The AI only suggests a level for each criterion, with a quote from the work as evidence. Quotes are checked by the app and flagged if they are not word for word in the work. Nothing is applied until you tap a level or "Use". Totals and percentages are calculated by the app from your choices.
The model sometimes paraphrases instead of quoting. Markwise only trusts a quote it can find word for word in the student work, so please check that criterion yourself.
Long work is assessed in parts and the app warns you when results are less reliable. Handwriting recognition is best effort and often wrong: check and fix the text before relying on any suggestion, or grade by hand. The document camera needs a real device camera.
No. Use any label you like. Labels are never given to the AI, and lines that start with "Name:" are removed from the work before the AI reads it.
Tap Report in the feedback section or on the About screen and send the email that opens (it contains no student work). You can also write to us directly.
Only on your device. Markwise has no account and no server, so deleting the app deletes everything.
